How much does the course cost?

Introducing British Sign Language is available on a Pay What You Can basis, from £5 per learner.

The course’s regular price is £30, but you can choose the amount that is right for you. Everyone receives exactly the same course, two years’ access and certificate of completion, regardless of how much they pay.

Suggested amounts

  • £5 – Student or on a budget

The minimum contribution.

  • £15 – Supporter

An amount above the minimum that helps keep the course running.

  • £30 – Regular price

The course’s standard price and the amount most learners choose.

  • £50 or more – Extra support

Helps us continue making the course available from £5.

These are suggestions rather than fixed price bands. You can enter any amount from £5 upwards.

Is it a subscription?

No. Your payment is a one-off charge. There are no monthly fees, automatic renewals or future payments.
All prices shown include VAT, and a VAT invoice is provided after checkout.

What is included?

Every enrolment includes:

  • all ten sections of the 20-hour online course
  • two years’ access
  • end-of-section assessments with unlimited free attempts
  • a certificate of completion with a unique verification code

The two-year access period begins when the learner first logs in, so it does not matter if the course is purchased before they are ready to start.

Paying more than the minimum helps us keep the lower price available to learners who need it. British Sign is operated by a commercial organisation and receives no grants or external funding.
